American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. The organization offers badge programs, service projects, girl leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences to its members. It serves as a catalyst for building young women of integrity and faith. It also broadens girls social development through extra-curricular activities. Troop NE1980 is a Catholic Troop (we are chartered by St. Wenceslaus and most of our members are Catholic), but the AHG program is a Christian program that can be tailored to many denominations and we welcome any girl/family whose beliefs are in line with the American Heritage Girls Statement of Faith. We are proud to offer a balanced and progressive program for young women - we have been recognized as a recipient of the National Honor Troop Award four times since our first charter in 2017: 2019-2020 (Sapphire), 2021-2022 (Ruby), 2022-2023 (Ruby), and 2023-2024 (Sapphire).
